EAA Chapter 1496 Kissimmee Florida

     On a warm and sunny Saturday afternoon, EAA Chapter 1496, Orlando Gateway Sport Aviation Training Center, Kissimmee-Gateway Airport and many volunteers flew 55 new Young Eagles! The Young Eagles enjoyed hot dogs, chips, drinks and met many find folks from the Orlando Flyers remote control aircraft club, Balloons over Orlando, two static display aircraft and a youth activity table.

     Our route of flight took us from Kissimmee's Runway 15 turning West towards Disney World, skirting Old Town Kissimmee and back for a smooth landing. All the kids received a "goodie bag" filled with a free Private Pilot ground schoo courtesty of Sporty's Pilot Shop, their official Young Eagles logbook, and tons of kid-related stuff from our friends at AOPA.
